ROHIT KUMAR SINGH   

Rohit founded Kashi Capital with the sole dream of serving millions of Micro, small and medium enterprises operating in the economically under-privileged regions of India and providing for their financial needs. Prior to starting Kashi Capital, Rohit was based in Nairobi (Kenya) serving as the Group Executive Director of Corporate & SME Banking at Equity Group Holdings Limited (one of the largest regional bank in East & Central Africa) and Chairman of the Board of Equity Insurance Agency. Before that, Rohit has held senior management positions at Emirates NBD Bank in Dubai, BDA Partners in Mumbai, Private Capital Management in Naples, USA and McKinsey & Company in New York. 

In an international career spanning 20 years,   Rohit has not only worked in developed economies of North America and Europe but also extensively in emerging economies of Africa, Asia and the Middle East. He has won several global awards in his banking career. Under his leadership, Equity Bank was awarded the “Best SME Bank in Kenya” during 2014 (first time during bank’s history in this category) and the same award was successfully defended in 2015. In September 2016, the Global Finance magazine named Rohit amongst the elite list of “Who’s Who in Treasury & Cash Management for 2016”. In May 2015, he was named as the “Corporate Banker of the Year” at the Think Business Banking Awards ceremony held in Nairobi, Kenya. 

Rohit has a Master of Science degree specializing in Finance from Boston College, USA, a Master of Business Administration degree from Cardiff Business School, UK, and a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering with distinction from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur, India. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Strategic Leadership Program from IESE Business School, Barcelona. He enjoys long distance running and spending time with his family.     

 ANJALI SINGH

Anjali was born and brought up in an esteemed business family from Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh. She graduated with a Masters degree in Political Science from Allahabad University securing second rank in the university. She also completed her Law degree from Lucknow University. She was selected in the highly competitive UGC NET exam. She has an extremely good understanding of the cultural and societal issues of Hindi heartland states particularly that of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Right from her university days, she has always remained passionate and involved in several causes of social upliftment and societal reforms. Having lived in USA, UAE and Africa for over a decade she is able to compare and contrast the quality of lives and livelihoods of people residing in different parts of the world. She is acutely aware of the financial disparities that people at the bottom of the pyramid face in her motherland and hence wants to build an institution that will focus on financial inclusion. She is a passionate reader and enjoys reading fiction and literature.
